Lyle - De retour à Bordeaux

Hello, je suis de retour à Bordeaux (France) au stade Chaban Delmas pour un match des Girondins de Bordeaux!

GUYBRUSH - Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

Aharr me hearties. I'm back on my travels and I thought I'd immerse myself in a bit of culture at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. Yes, us pirates can be cultured too. It's not all rum and buxom wenches...although I wouldn't say no to either. Ahharrararrrarrrrr (thigh slap (or is that a bit Jacobean of me?)).

For those geographers out there, you will have noticed that I've only travelled a bus journey further from my last post, but without a sturdy craft I'm a bit scuppered. I'm hoping I'll be able to catch a lift with some culture vulture from some exotic corner of the globe...or West Bromwich if all else fails.

Until next time ye land lubbers...

Lyle - Niagra Falls, Canada

Thought I'd treat meeself to a new oar :)

The famous Poutine from Québec!

Lyle - New York City, USA : Part 3

Me in Central Park, happy to find a respite in a rather stressful city.

And yes, I love my mum!

Coucou Manhattan!

Me posing, I make a good Statue of Liberty don't ya think?

A touch of shopping!

Lyle - New York City, USA : Part 2

From the 'top of the rock' (Rockerfeller Building) I had an amazing view, notably of the Empire State Building.

I loved the MoMa museum, so much variety that everybody is sure to find something to their taste.
I hailed a taxi, but they were too busy avoiding cows that in the end I just walked everywhere.

Lyle - New York City, USA : Part 1

The new Freedom Tower at Ground Zero.

Wall Street Stock Exchange.

A quick coffee and cake pause.

Lyle - Boston, USA

I learnt a lot about America's not so distant history whilst I stayed in Boston and Lexington. I followed the freedom trail across the city and this is what I found along the way...

Went for a stroll around Harvard, what a quaint little place.

I even attended a baseball match - Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles. Unfortunately the Red Sox lost this time round, but I almost understand the rules now and I tasted my very first pretzel in America.
