Aldo, Crater Lake National Park

Meet Aldo! We discovered Aldo lounging under a rock enclosure up at the Watchman Peak lookout at Crater Lake National Park in June 2014. The climb up was all snow covered with no sight of a trail. There were no other foot prints on our way up to the Watchman Peak. We all had a blast sliding down the mountain on our backsides in June!!

Aldo has since flown from Oregon to Maryland where he had joined in on numerous mountain bike rides, as well as, riding along for the Patapsco 100 mountain bike race in the Baltimore, Maryland area, and the Civil War Century.

Aldo then ventured to Aspen, Colorado in the fall to see the beautiful transformation of colors.

Aldo was placed in a perfect viewing location for his next adventures to begin after the long hike up to the Conundrum Creek Hot Springs where he took in the amazing view over the hot springs looking down into the valley awaiting his next companion.

Goodbye old friend. May the rest of your life be full of the adventures that you seek!

Horatius - Victoria & Albert Museum, London, SW7

I found Horatius in the British Galleries of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London on 12th November 2014.

 

It was only appropriate that he should be introduced to the online newspaper I edit, The Steeple Times (http://thesteepletimes.com), and to take him for a cocktail at La Brasserie on Brompton Road in South Kensington (http://www.labrasserielondon.com).

 

I have now set Horatius off on his journey and look forward to seeing where he ends up next.
