Alastair and I are starting off on a trip around India. His first adventure was here in Hampi in the south of India!
We spent the day exploring the old ruins arrive Hampi, the site of a great Hindu empire that rose and fell between the 11th and 16th centuries.
Alastair climbed a mountain made from ancient rock but newly settled. The he became the bystander in a Hindu epic during the battle between a deity and a great wolf. After all that stress he rested under a perfectly sized tree for a siesta. Then he marvelled at the workmanship that went into the intricately designed flourished all over these ancient ruins. Finally he piggybacked onto me and we went up 600 steps to a temple perched on some rocks that is dedicated to monkeys. He enjoyed some coconut.
Stay tuned for Alastair's next Indian adventure!
